Businesses have the power to influence change at scale, and we can help you have an impact. As a business leader, knowing where to start when it comes to climate action can be daunting. So below, you'll find five ways that your business can take climate action today.
Our business partnerships are symbiotic. Corporations provide us funding and support, while we provide education, tools, and resources on how they can reduce their carbon footprint and become more environmentally friendly.
The next general election is just around the corner, and it’s time to SEND IT by demanding the most ambitious party manifestos on climate action EVER.
We need the entire outdoor UK community to get involved - you can help!
As a charity, we receive no government funding and rely solely on the generous support of our community to operate and achieve our mission. Without the support of our corporate partners, we wouldn't be able to carry out the vital work we do.
Ready to reduce your carbon footprint and become a more sustainable business?
We've developed the POW Pledge to help organisations in reducing their carbon footprint. The Pledge is a toolkit that provides a climate action framework. We break down corporate climate action into eight effective steps, so you can avoid consultants at the getting started phase whilst getting support on where your efforts would best be focused. Oh, and it's free!
Education is the first step in your climate action journey, and our Carbon Literacy Training courses, workshops, and webinars are the perfect starting point. We provide training for organisations who want their employees to have a better understanding of the science behind the climate crisis.
Accredited by the UN-recognised Carbon Literacy Project, our CLT course is tailored to the outdoors community, making it super relevant to your team. What your team will gain from Carbon Literacy Training:
Looking to give for a good cause? A one-off donation might be better suited to your businesses. Every pound goes directly to supporting our operations, campaigns, education and community outreach. We couldn't do this without the generosity of our supporters.
POW UK campaigns for system change to renewable energy, electric transportation, green finance, and a managed decline of fossil fuel extraction. Businesses can help by taking part directly in our campaigns and by amplifying our message through your community and customers - get in touch to find out how.
We're an approved nonprofit of 1% for the Planet, and you can contribute directly to POW UK through your 1% membership. How does it work? Businesses commit to donating the equivalent of 1% of gross sales through a combination of monetary, in-kind, and approved promotional support directly to environmental nonprofits. If you're a 1% member, you can choose to make your contribution to POW UK and receive the same partnership recognition as our tiers above.
